Marbella Hen Do: Puerto Banús Hotels, Beach Clubs and Weekend Cost ☀️

“Marbella” can mean the Old Town, the central beachfront, the Golden Mile or Puerto Banús. They are not interchangeable. A party-first group can justify Banús prices; a food-and-beach group is often happier in Marbella Centre; a luxury group may prefer the Golden Mile. The wrong choice creates expensive taxis every day.

This guide makes the geography, beach-club contracts, Málaga Airport transfer and total cost clear before anyone pays a deposit.

1. Quick decisions

Best party base

Puerto Banús for marina bars, clubs and nearby beach venues

Best mixed base

Marbella Centre for restaurants, Old Town and everyday beach access

Best premium base

Golden Mile when the hotel and beach club are the experience

Three-night ground budget

€760–€2,250 per person before flights

Do not book a villa from the map alone. Gated urbanisations, hills and motorway crossings can make an apparently close villa impossible to walk from. Verify its tourism registration, exact road, taxis, guest policy, outdoor-noise rules and legal beds.

2. Keep the expensive parts visible

3. Where to stay

🛥️ Puerto Banús: party-first convenience

Banús puts marina restaurants, bars and late venues close together. Occidental Puerto Banús, Meliá Marbella Banús and smaller apartment-hotels cover different levels. You pay for location, and peak weekends are noisy. Confirm whether the route home is genuinely walkable after dark.

🏘️ Marbella Centre and Old Town

Stay near Avenida del Mar, the promenade or the Old Town edge for restaurants, cafés and normal city life. Amàre Beach Hotel and other central properties suit a polished mixed weekend. Banús nightlife still needs a taxi, but daytime plans become simpler and usually better value.

🌴 Golden Mile: premium compromise

Puente Romano, Nobu and Marbella Club turn the hotel complex into the weekend. This works only when the group can afford the restaurants and transport attached to the location. “Golden Mile” addresses vary widely; inspect the exact walking route.

🏡 Nueva Andalucía villas

Villas can offer pool space and shared living, but many are not walkable to the marina. Price daily vans, security deposit, cleaning, groceries and quiet-hour compliance before comparing the per-person rate with hotels.

4. Málaga Airport and local transport

✈️ AGP to Marbella

Málaga Airport is the practical gateway. Direct coaches serve Marbella bus station, but Puerto Banús or a villa still needs another connection. Marbella has no train station. Compare the official coach timetable with a licensed door-to-door minibus.

🚐 Private transfer questions

Request flight tracking, terminal pickup, luggage, child seats if needed, tolls, waiting, gratuity and destination in the written total. Group guests by arrival window; do not make eight people wait hours to save one fare.

🚕 Taxis between zones

Use official ranks or licensed bookings and keep a cash/card backup. Beach-club closing and nightclub exits create peaks. Save the accommodation pin and gate instructions in Spanish and English.

Choose the nighttime base: if two nights finish in Banús, sleep in Banús. Saving €50 on a central room disappears when every guest pays two late taxi rides.

5. Beach-club booking without surprises

🍾 Ask what the price actually buys

Ocean Club, Nikki Beach Marbella, La Sala by the Sea and venues along the Golden Mile have different seasons and products. A quote may be entry, bed hire or minimum spend. Ask for VAT, service, deposit, capacity, towels, shade and cancellation.

📅 Calendar and arrival time

Do not build a weekend around an assumed pool party. Use the official venue calendar, then record opening time, bed-release deadline, dress or swimwear rules and last entry. Late groups can lose both the bed and deposit.

💶 Separate mandatory and optional spend

Make the entry or shared bed mandatory only for confirmed guests. Keep bottles and upgrades optional. A minimum-spend table is a group liability, not free drinks.

6. Boat, food and nightlife

⛵ Puerto Banús boat charter

Ask for vessel registration, legal capacity, captain, fuel, marina fees, route, restroom, shade, drinks, towels, weather policy and final taxes. Two hours can feel rushed; four hours needs food, water and a realistic return before dinner.

🍽️ Old Town celebration dinner

Marbella Old Town gives the weekend a different texture from the marina. Book a group menu, dietary needs, deposit and service, then leave time to walk Plaza de los Naranjos rather than arriving only for a table.

🍸 Banús nightlife route

Start with marina drinks, use one reserved venue and keep the club flexible unless a specific event requires a ticket. Check physical ID, group-entry, dress, minimum spend and official ticket channel.

🔇 Respect residents and accommodation rules

Outdoor music, visitors and late pool use can breach the contract or municipal rules. A villa is not an event venue. Move the party to licensed businesses and return quietly.

7. Three-night itinerary

1️⃣ Friday: arrivals and local dinner

Combine AGP transfers, check in and use dinner within the chosen base. Add one reserved drink, then verify Saturday pickup and beach-club entry.

2️⃣ Saturday: beach club and headline night

Run the reserved beach block, hydrate and leave before exhaustion. Protect a shower-and-rest window, then hold dinner and Banús nightlife with return transport saved.

3️⃣ Sunday: boat or Old Town

Choose a boat in good weather or a slow Marbella beach and Old Town day. Finish with the celebration dinner; make the second late night optional.

4️⃣ Monday: airport waves

Close the shared account, return deposits and group transfers by terminal and flight time. Allow Costa del Sol traffic and airport queues.

8. Realistic budget

Accommodation

Three nights sharing, tax and fees

€330–€950

Food and drinks

Breakfasts, meals and one main dinner

€190–€430

Beach club

Entry, shared bed and reasonable spend

€90–€300

Boat or second activity

Shared cruise through private charter share

€70–€300

Transport

AGP transfer and local taxi shares

€60–€180

Nightlife and buffer

Entry, service and contingencies

€20–€90

Ground budget

Per person before flights and shopping

€760–€2,250

💡 Pro Tip: Make hotel, airport transfer, one beach booking and the celebration dinner mandatory. Boats, premium beds and bottle upgrades must remain optional until enough guests opt in.

9. Booking checklist

🏨 Hotel or villa contract

Confirm licence, beds, bathrooms, air-conditioning, guest and noise rules, deposit, pool hours, gate access and cancellation.

💳 Cost ceiling and dropout rule

Publish mandatory and optional totals, payment dates and replacement terms before any non-refundable charge.

☀️ Heat and alcohol plan

Add water, shade, food and recovery. Follow the captain and venue staff, and never pressure a guest to drink or remain out.
