NFL London 2026 Weekend Itinerary: A Three-Day Fan Trip 🏈

24DAYS
4HOURS
39MINUTES
57SECONDS

An NFL London weekend is not a normal city break with a game squeezed into Sunday. The kickoff is fixed, tickets are digital, tens of thousands of fans travel toward the same station, and a late transatlantic arrival can erase the expensive part of the trip. The best plan protects game day first and builds London around it.

This itinerary works for all three 2026 games: Colts–Commanders at Tottenham on October 4, Eagles–Jaguars at Tottenham on October 11, and Texans–Jaguars at Wembley on October 18. Every game starts at 14:30 BST. Follow the shared Friday and Saturday plan, then use the Tottenham or Wembley branch on Sunday.

1. Pick the right London weekend

October 4

Colts vs Commanders — Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, 14:30 BST

October 11

Eagles vs Jaguars — Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, 14:30 BST

October 18

Texans vs Jaguars — Wembley Stadium, 14:30 BST

Minimum trip

Friday arrival to Monday departure; add Thursday for disruption protection

Do not land on Sunday: an overnight delay, immigration queue or cancelled connection can cost the entire game. International fans should be in London by Friday night. If the ticket is the reason for the trip, Thursday arrival is the safer splurge.

2. Put the weekend in one shared plan

3. Friday: arrive, reset and verify the essentials

✈️ 14:00–17:00: reach the hotel

Take the simplest airport-to-hotel route, not the cheapest route with three transfers. At check-in, save the address offline and ask whether luggage storage is available Monday. If rooms are not ready, leave bags and eat nearby. Long-haul groups should treat Friday as recovery rather than a nightlife test.

📱 17:00: run the ticket check

Every fan should be able to open the official ticket account, receive a transfer and load a ticket into the phone wallet when available. The NFL says digital tickets can arrive up to 72 hours before kickoff, so late delivery is not itself a reason to buy another. Save the buyer’s confirmation, booking reference and support route. Screenshots may not scan.

🍔 19:00: one easy team dinner

Reserve close to the hotel and keep the bill simple. Eagles fans may enjoy a Philadelphia-style stop such as Passyunk Avenue, but confirm event admission and opening hours directly before traveling. A branded watch party is not automatically an official team event. Keep Friday flexible if flights split the group across several arrival times.

Assign three owners before bed: one for tickets, one for transport and one for money. Put the hotel pin, Sunday departure time and emergency meeting point in the same shared note. The organizer should not be the only person who can retrieve the plan.

4. Saturday: see London without ruining Sunday

The classic mistake is crossing London repeatedly. Pick one compact sightseeing corridor and stop while the day still feels easy. The South Bank route below works for first-time visitors and leaves multiple rail options back to most hotel areas.

☕ 09:00: breakfast near the hotel

Start locally instead of queuing at a social-media landmark. This is the moment to confirm Sunday engineering notices in the TfL or rail app, check the stadium bag policy and download an offline Tube map. Use the same contactless bank card or device all day so the fare system can calculate correctly.

🌉 10:30–14:00: Borough Market to South Bank

Begin around London Bridge, browse Borough Market, walk toward Tate Modern and continue along the Thames toward the London Eye. The route gives food, river views and recognizable sights without timed transport between each stop. Saturday is the market’s busiest day, so arrive before the lunch crush and designate a meeting landmark if the group separates.

🏛️ 14:00–16:30: choose one paid attraction

Book only one: the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, a museum exhibition or a river trip. Leave a buffer after it. Groups that reserve a morning attraction, afternoon tour and evening event often reach Sunday tired and irritated. Free options such as the British Museum or National Gallery still require a realistic time slot and travel plan.

🍽️ 18:30: early dinner and optional fan event

Official team activations may appear close to game week. Verify them through the NFL or team’s own channels before replacing dinner plans. If nothing official is confirmed, choose a sports bar with a reservation policy you understand. End the night early enough to charge phones, distribute tickets and lay out waterproof layers.

5. Sunday at Tottenham: October 4 or 11

Tottenham lists White Hart Lane, Northumberland Park, Tottenham Hale and Seven Sisters as its key stations. White Hart Lane is nearest; Tottenham Hale has the Victoria line; Northumberland Park can be useful for regional rail; Seven Sisters involves the longest walk. All become busy after major events.

🥐 08:30 breakfast, 10:30 departure

Eat before leaving and carry only what the current stadium policy permits. From central London, budget far more than the map’s ideal journey time. Your goal is to be in N17 by 11:30, not to arrive at the turnstile just before introductions.

🏟️ 11:30 stadium district, 12:30 entry

Use the first hour for food, photos and merchandise. Join security around two hours before kickoff, locate the exact entrance on the ticket and agree on an inside meeting point. Tottenham’s dedicated NFL field sits below its retractable soccer pitch, so entering early is part of the experience rather than wasted time.

🚆 After the game: wait, then move

Do not promise a fixed dinner time based on the final whistle. Let the first station surge pass, follow event staff and use the agreed station rather than changing the plan mid-crowd. A postgame meal near the hotel is easier than trying to reunite in Soho immediately.

6. Sunday at Wembley: October 18

Wembley has three main rail approaches. Wembley Park uses the Metropolitan and Jubilee lines; Wembley Stadium station has Chiltern trains from Marylebone; Wembley Central uses the Bakerloo line and London Overground. The best route depends on the hotel, not on which station looks closest on a screenshot.

🚇 09:00 breakfast, 10:45 departure

Check both Tube and Chiltern options on the morning. From Baker Street, the Metropolitan line can reach Wembley Park quickly when running normally. From Marylebone, the train to Wembley Stadium can be efficient. Never rely on a single route during weekend engineering work.

🎒 11:45 arrive, 12:30 security

Wembley’s published policy allows one small bag no larger than A4—297 × 210 × 210 mm—subject to the event’s current rules. A compliant bag can still slow entry, so go smaller when possible. Eat on Olympic Way or inside, then locate the correct colored zone and turnstile.

📍 Postgame meeting point

Choose a named point inside the concourse before kickoff and a second point well away from the immediate station entrances. The group may be filtered toward different routes after the game. Follow staff instructions even if an app suggests a shorter path through a closed crowd-control zone.

7. Monday: recovery without missing the flight

☕ Late breakfast, one nearby stop

Pick an activity on the route to the departure station: a museum near King’s Cross, a walk near Paddington or shopping around Liverpool Street. Do not cross town for a single photo. Store luggage at the hotel only if returning for it still leaves a proper airport buffer.

🛫 Protect the airport transfer

London has multiple airports with very different transfers. Confirm the airport code, terminal and rail route—not merely “London airport.” Groups on different flights should split deliberately rather than forcing everyone onto the earliest traveler’s schedule.

8. Realistic three-night budget

Game ticket

Official ticket or planning reserve

£79–£281

Hotel

3 nights, twin room split

£240–£600

Food and drinks

Friday dinner through Monday breakfast

£150–£320

London transport

Local travel; airport transfer separate

£25–£60

Sightseeing

One paid attraction plus free walking route

£35–£100

Trip buffer

Merchandise, price changes or disruption

£50–£150

Three-night subtotal

Per person before flights and airport transfers

£579–£1,511

💡 Pro Tip: Fix the ticket and room first. Keep Saturday activities refundable until every traveler's flight and arrival time are confirmed.

9. What to pack

What to Pack

  • 📱Ticket-ready phone — Official wallet ticket, roaming and a charged power bank
  • 🌧️October layers — Waterproof shell, warm mid-layer and no full-size umbrella dependency
  • 🎒Small compliant bag — Recheck the exact event policy shortly before travel
  • 👟Walking shoes — For station walks, queues and Saturday sightseeing
  • 🔌UK adapter — One per traveler, not one for the whole room
  • 🪪Offline backup — Passport copy, insurance, hotel and meeting points

10. Five group rules that save the weekend

1️⃣ Book one geographic hotel base

Saving £20 each is not useful if half the group is 45 minutes away. Use the same hotel or two properties by the same station. Decide whether sightseeing or stadium convenience is the priority before comparing rates.

2️⃣ Put every time in London time

A 14:30 BST kickoff is 09:30 Eastern. Label the shared plan with BST and avoid messages such as “meet at nine” when friends at home and travelers are coordinating across time zones.

3️⃣ Transfer tickets before game morning

When transfers become available, each traveler should control their own ticket. The buyer keeps the receipt and order number. Nobody buys a second ticket because they cannot find a screenshot.

4️⃣ Use exact meeting points

“At Wembley Park” or “outside Tottenham” is not a meeting point. Choose a named landmark, save a map pin and set a deadline after which everyone proceeds to the inside backup point.

5️⃣ Do not overbook Saturday

One sightseeing corridor, one main attraction and one dinner is enough. The irreplaceable part is Sunday. Protect sleep, phone charge and the group’s patience.
